About Som

The Thai clinical  massage therapist

My  Story

Chapter 1 : I  was born and raised in a small village in North-eastern Thailand. Life in the countryside was simple, yet full of warmth. Our community was close-knit, where neighbors were like family. From a young age, I was fascinated by the way touch could bring comfort. I watched my grandmother, who had a natural gift for healing with her hands. She would press, rub, and stretch tired muscles, easing the pain of farmers who had spent long days in the fields. Her gentle yet firm touch seemed almost magical. I didn’t know it then, but I was witnessing the roots of my own calling.

Chapter 2: Discovering My Gift

As I grew older, I began helping my grandmother. I learned by observing—how to apply the right pressure, how to sense where pain was held in the body, and how to bring relief with steady, patient hands. Villagers began asking for me when they came for treatment. They said I had “light in my hands,” a gift I was just beginning to understand.

When I was old enough, I sought formal training in massage therapy. I was drawn to medical massage, where I could use my skills to help people not just relax but truly heal.

Chapter 3: Training at Wat Pho

Eager to expand my knowledge and refine my skills, I traveled to Bangkok to study at the renowned Wat Pho Thai Traditional Medical and Massage School. Known as the birthplace of Thai massage, Wat Pho is celebrated worldwide for its rigorous and authentic training.

There, I immersed myself in the ancient art of Thai massage. I learned techniques that had been passed down for generations—focused stretches, acupressure points, and energy line work. The instructors emphasized precision, rhythm, and the importance of mindful breathing during treatment.

Completing the course at Wat Pho since  year  2000  a turning point in my journey. It sharpened my skills, gave me greater confidence, and deepened my understanding of how to merge traditional Thai methods with my own medical massage techniques.

Chapter 4: Healing the Community

With my enhanced skills, I returned to my village, more determined than ever to help those in need. People came to me with stiff joints, frozen limbs, and chronic pain that had plagued them for years. I worked with stroke survivors, gradually helping them regain movement and strength.

I will never forget the day when a man who hadn’t walked in two years took his first steps after weeks of therapy with me. The joy in his eyes filled my heart. It was in moments like these that I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be.

Chapter 5: Charity and Giving Back

The more I practiced, the more I realized that many people in Thailand, especially in rural areas, couldn’t afford proper therapy. I started volunteering, offering free treatments to those in need. Stroke patients, elderly villagers with mobility issues, and individuals with chronic pain came to me. I worked tirelessly, sometimes late into the night, determined to ease their suffering.

My hands became my voice—the way I spoke to their pain, their struggle, and their hope. It wasn’t about money; it was about restoring dignity and giving people a second chance at movement and independence.

Chapter 6: My Philosophy of Healing

Massage, for me, is more than a physical practice—it is a connection between healer and recipient. I listen to each body with my hands, sensing where it holds tension, where it is weak, and where it longs for release. My technique is a blend of skill and intuition, combining traditional Thai massage with medical precision and my own special methods.

I believe in the body’s power to heal itself, given the right care. My goal is not just to reduce pain but to restore hope—to show people that they can regain control of their bodies and their lives.

Chapter 7: Looking Ahead

My journey as a medical massage therapist has been one of dedication and love. Though I started in a small village, my hope is to continue expanding my reach, helping more people find relief. Whether through charity work, training others, or simply continuing to offer healing hands, I remain committed to my mission.

I am proud of what I have accomplished, but I know my work is far from over. As long as there are people in pain, I will be there—with my hands, my heart, and my unwavering belief in the power of healing.
